This year’s Buffalo Bill Days is again going to be a great community event. The event, run entirely with volunteer help, continues to grow each year and is recognized throughout the Metro area as one of the better organized and run community events.

The goal of the committee that runs the event, whose sole purpose is to promote Golden, is to pay its own way. We accomplish this by providing vending space in the park for food, crafts, merchandise etc. and also advertising your business in the parade. Another method of providing funds is providing sponsorship packages for the event. Sponsorships are available for individual events as well as being a general event sponsor. We will also continue the event program which, again this year, will be 32 pages and a run of 10,000 copies. Here is a great chance to advertise your business at a very nominal cost

The event will again feature the Annual Golf Tournament, on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Award Winning Fossil Trace Golf Club, followed by an awards buffet that evening. Hole Sponsorships are available.

On Thursday from 11:30AM to 1 PM, the Annual Chamber kickoff luncheon will be held at the Buffalo Rose at 12th & Washington.

This year’s event will again feature great entertainment. Friday Night features
“Chris Daniels & the Kings” and Saturday night we are again looking towards a great group sponsored by the Fortune Valley Hotel & Casino in Central City.

Saturday features the Golden Fire Department’s Pancake Breakfast, followed by
The Best of the West Parade, with the Wild West Show following the parade, and the “Orphan Cars” on Washington Avenue Saturday afternoon. Back again will be the“Lil Spike” Free Train Ride for Kids, sponsored by Coors Credit Union on Saturday & Sunday on the trail along Clear Creek.

Of course, we will have Kids Rides & games, Bungee Tramp, souvenir shirts, great food and beverage and a hundred crafts and merchandise booths.

And on Sunday will be the Muttin Bustin contest, the Annual Duck Race down Clear Creek & the Street Rod & Classics Car Show on Washington Ave. from 10 AM – 3PM
