Buffalo Bill Days Golf Tournament
a Best of the West Day For All

The 4th Annual Buffalo Bill Days Golf Tournament was held at award winning Fossil Trace Golf Course in Golden the afternoon of July 25th. The weather held and it was a great day for the 104 golfers who participated. The winners of the Golden Challenge Traveling trophy for the lowest net (with handicap) score were the Wells Fargo Business Banking team. Second place net went to the Golden Civic Foundation and third place went to Booby's Banners. First place low gross (no handicap) with an unbelievable score of 55, 17 under par, went to the Realm Realty and Management team while second place went to the Olinger-Woods Chapel team and third place to Home Depot. "Buffalo Bill" himself stood watch over the seventh hole and Jim Dale and Carol Lozano were the closest to him in the most accurate drive contest. Closest to the pin winners were Ed Brittain and Buffi Martynuska, while Buffi and Rich Lemon had the longest drives and Kory Johnson and Charlie Murray the longest putts.

The awards buffet that evening featured plenty of door prizes and the infamous crazy hats awards followed by the screaming chickens awarded to the EDS Waste Services team, which had the highest score of the day. A good time was had by all and the event, chaired by Jean and Ed Dorsey, served as a great start to the Buffalo Bill Days weekend celebration in downtown Golden.
